Day Support Services

Abraxas Home Care Day Support Center provides person-centered, community-based day support services designed to promote independence, social engagement, personal growth, and overall well-being for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our program offers a safe, structured, and inclusive environment where individuals can build meaningful relationships, develop life skills, and participate in enriching daily activities that support their personal goals and interests.

Services at the Day Support Center include skill-building activities focused on communication, social interaction, problem-solving, decision-making, self-advocacy, and independent living skills. Individuals are encouraged to participate in recreational activities, arts and crafts, music, fitness and wellness programs, educational opportunities, and community integration experiences that foster confidence and community involvement.

Abraxas Home Care emphasizes individualized support plans tailored to each person’s strengths, preferences, and developmental needs. Our trained and compassionate staff provide supervision, encouragement, and assistance while promoting dignity, respect, and choice in all aspects of service delivery.

The program also supports health and wellness through structured routines, physical activity, nutrition education, and opportunities for emotional and behavioral support. Community outings and volunteer opportunities are incorporated to help individuals remain actively engaged in their communities while building social and vocational skills.
